We have designed the engine and fan system from scratch with the best engineers in the world within flow dynamics. This resulted in a dryer with the fraction of the drying time compared to similar dryers.
Dries a pair of wet running shoes in under 10 minutes.
This requires that all the air goes into one pair shoes at maximum speed and heat.
Drying times depend on many things such as the material of the shoes, their size, how wet etc, so expect most items to dry within 15 to 20 minutes. For big boots or rain boots allow up to 40 minutes.
Adjustable heat for leather and ski boots
When drying leather boots any other sensitive materials like form fit ski boots use no heat or 37 degrees over multiple hours. Also remember that leather should not be dried to 100% - it should naturally have some moisture in it to keep it supple and not like jerky!
Designers of hydro power turbines
In collaboration with engineers at the Hydro Power Laboratory at NTNU, known to be world leading within flow dynamics and designers of hydro turbines for power plants - we have designed both the impeller and fan house from scratch.
We have been able to optimize airflow by utilizing turbo technology.
Brushless DC engine
The key to fast drying is through creating a high flow of hot air at high pressure. The Hedgehog drier achieves this by using a compact brushless motor, a purpose-built impeller and a ceramic heating element.
The result is a super powerful fan which is truly unique and unparalleled in performance.

Fire safe ceramic heating element
The ceramic heating element is fire safe and all electrical components are coated with fire and corrosion resistant gel. The Hedgehog unit comes with double fuses and a temperature sensor fitted as standard for your peace of mind..
